Hey Everyone,
I know I spoke to some you a couple of weeks ago and I apologize for the delay in getting this information out to everyone. But as of now "The Association of Information Technology Professionals" is hosting a social event for students with a focus in Information Systems, our FIRST social meeting for 2008, is scheduled to take place on March 19, 2008 from 7pm - 8pm in the School of Business Student Organization Room, room #B1212. For those of us who do not know where this room is located, this room is located near the Front entrance of the School of Business from Main street, between the bathrooms and the hallway to the Engineering student area I have also attached the first floor layout of the School of Business just in case I didn't explain it properly, just look for room #B1212 .
I also know that this time may interfere with everyones dinner time, so as a precaution there will be PIZZA and SODA provided to keep everyones hunger tamed, so come and grab some food. I just want to let everyone know that RIGHT NOW is going to be an exciting time to join this organization due to the fact that the current members are graduating this semester and we're going to be starting fresh, so bring an ideas you have that you would like to incorporate in this organization, any and all ideas are welcome. Below are the topics up for discussion:
1.) Meet and Greet
2.) PIZZA TIME
3.) Future Goals for the AITP-VCU Chapter/ Benefits for members
A.) Creating Appeal
4.) New Officers
5.) Registration information into the organization. (AITP National Website - http://www.aitp.org )
6.) Additional Questions of concern that were not answered
For more information about this event, please go to AITP-VCU's forum: http://vcudotnet.com/CommunityServer/forums/11.aspx. All updates, information on upcoming events, and general information about the group will be posted in this forum. Also please feel to sign-up to post information of your own. Everyone have a SAFE and GOOD SPRING BREAK, I hope to see everyone on March 19th.
Thanks,
Sean Miles
